James Herschell Clark, 77, of Alvarado, Tex., formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:00 A.M., Monday, February 14, 2005 at his residence.
James was a truck driver.  He was of the Baptist faith.
He was born October 2, 1927 at Du Quoin, the son of James and Edith Mae (George) Clark.
He married Marilyn June Scarber and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Alvarado, Tex., four children - Judy Reiser of Bedford, Tex., James Clark Jr. of Du Quoin, Betty Zacek of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Jackie Clark of Alvarado, Tex., four sisters - Gladys Oliver of St. Louis, Mo., Betty Scruggs of Du Quoin, Alice Jones of Du Quoin, and Connie Brandibas of Iuka, Ill., four brothers - Clifford Clark of Florida, James Dale Clark of Springdale, Arkansas, Larry Clark of Du Quoin, and Mike Clark of Virden, Ill., several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters - Ester Little, Ruby Oliver, Margie Griffin, and Earlene Preston and one brother - Chuck Clark.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 18, 2005 at the Old Du Quoin Cemetery in Du Quoin with Rev. Silas Morgan officiating.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Interment will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
